1.4 Installation / Installation of the stove
The Bullerjan cook comes completely installed .
When you have placed your stove at the desired position
and after all the attachments have been installed, only a
few handgrips have to be made:
- Check that the connection material is correct, so that the
exhaust gas appearing at the combustion process can be
directed into the chimney without problems.

2.1 Initial commissioning
IBurning in the paint:
Bullerjan stoves are coated with high-quality, heat-
resistant paint which only reaches its completely solid
stage the first time the stove is used. There will be smoke
formation and odour when initially heating the stoves.
Therefore, when initially heating, open the doors and
windows.
Caution Hot! During operation, the external surfaces of the
stoves are very hot. No contact should be made with the
stove except at the handles. Please always use the glove
supplied with your stove.
Important! The fire room door must always be kept
closed, except when igniting, when refilling fuel or when
removing ashes.
2.2 Firewood feed and permissible fuels
As a fuel, you should only use air-dried, natural hard
wood (e.g. beechwood) in the form of logs with residual
moisture of less than 15 %.
Important! Never use treated or plastic-coated wood, chip
boards, saw dust, card board, paper or flammable liquids
such as alcohol, gasoline or similar items!
Burning materials of this kind emit a lot of hazardous,
poisonous smokes and gases and can also result in
sustainable damage to the Bullerjan.

2.3 Heating-up procedure
Please note, that in the ignition phase soot may
condense on the viewing glass of the stove. When
burning solid fuels, which naturally create soot, soiling
can not be fully avoided. Therefore soiling of the
window does not constitute a defect.
Important! The use of larger quantities of combustible
wood does not increase the heating capacity to a major
degree. Instead, the excess energy escapes to the
chimney. In addition, this results in high hazardous
emissions and in extreme cases can damage the
Bullerjan cook and or individual parts.
Light the stove
• Open the air slide in the stove door - above the
window completely
• Now insert two logs of dry wood at a sufficient
distance from each other so that they are
sufficiently flushed with combustion air.
• Stack up to 1.5 kg of kindling on the logs.
• Now light the kindling from above using a
chimney lighter. Use fireplace matches for
lighting.
Do not leave the stove unattended during the
lighting phase. Never use spirit or petrol for
lighting.
Please note that soot and possibly condensation
can form on the viewing pane of the stove
during the heating-up phase. This soiling cannot
be ruled out when burning natural solid fuels
and does not constitute a defect.
