CLEANING
1.- Before cleaning, make sure that the fryer is unplugged and the oil is at room temperature.
2.- If you must move the fryer, lift it from its sides, never by the basket or heating unit.
3.- Do not use aggressive cleaning products or metallic sponges that may scratch the stainless
steel surfaces when cleaning. Make sure to dry all of the elements well before reassembling
it.
4. - Remove the basket for cleaning. If you want, you can remove the handle for a deep
cleaning.
5.- Remove the heating unit; remember that the heating unit may not be submerged in water.
Clean it with a moist rag, making sure to dry it after cleaning.
Avoid damaging the resistor and sensor, which may affect the fryer's proper operation and
create a risk of electrocution.
6.- In order to take the oil out of the tub, place an empty container with a capacity of over
4 litres under the tap. Turn on the tap and wait until all the oil is deposited into the container.
Turn off the tap. Before you pour in clean oil, clean the remains from the tub.
7. - Reassemble the elements, adding clean oil if you want.
8. - If the fryer will not be used for a long time, store it in a dry, well ventilated place away from
humidity.
MAINTENANCE
The electric fryer does not require special maintenance, but the following precautions should be
taken:
a.- Do not leave the appliance running unsupervised; the oil will decrease and heating the resistor
and sensor without oil may render them inoperative for future uses.
b.- Oil may spontaneously catch fire if the temperature surpasses 300ºC, so you should never
leave it running at maximum temperature.
c.- When using more than one fryer, make sure that there is enough space between them to
circulate hot air, since they may deform due to the heat.
d.- Only use the original baskets; forcing the basket into the oil container may create a risk upon
removing it when finished.
e.- If you do not use the fryer for long periods of time, we recommend applying a thin layer of oil
over the complete surface, even on the resistor and sensor.
f.- Do not use margarine, butter or lard. They are not suitable for frying since they emit smoke at
low temperatures.
g.- If overheated, the safety system turns the device off. In order to restart it, unplug the unit and
wait until it cools. Once cooled, re-plug it in and press the "RESTART" button on the back of
the heating unit. To do so you will need a thin and long tool.
