12 MAINTENANCE
12.1 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Before performing any maintenance operations, adopt the following precautions:

Make sure that all the parts of the boiler have cooled down.

Make sure that the ash is completely extinguished.

Make sure that the main power switch is off.

Make sure that the power supply cannot be reconnected accidentally. Unplug the cord from the socket on
the wall.

Always use suitable tools for maintenance.

Once maintenance or repairs have been completed, before operating the boiler again, restore all protection
features and reactivate all safety devices.
A suitable ash vacuum cleaner (canister) makes it simpler to clean the ash.
12.2 ROUTINE USER MAINTENANCE
12.2.1 Pulizia braciere e cassetto raccogli cenere
Cleaning of the burn pot and of the ash collecting box
The burn pot is cleaned by aspiration the bottom of
its seat.
Every two-three days remove the ash collecting box
and empty it (Fig. 12.1).
When removing the box, check the correct opening
all combustion residues present, fall in the space
below. If this is not the case provide for removal with
an aspirator.
The underlying compartment must be absolutely
clean before reinserting the ash collecting box.
Make sure the box is correctly inserted on the guides
on the inside of the box compartment.
12.2.2 Cleaning of the heat exchanger
At the end of the season the heat exchanger must
be cleaned, such an operation, at times, may be
necessary to be carried out more frequently due to
the quality of the pellets used, in any case it is not
to be considered as a sign for incorrect operation of
the boiler.
12.2.3 Cleaning the glass
The glass of the door tends to get dirty after a certain
period of operation due to ash residues or in case
poor quality pellets are used.
The cleaning of the ceramic glass must be performed
rigorously when the boiler is off and cool with a rag

breaking of the glass and the manufacturer cannot
be held responsible for damage caused to property
or persons.
12.2.4 External Cleaning
The outside of the boiler must only be cleaned using
a dry, non-abrasive cloth.
Do not use detergents and never clean when the
boiler is hot.
