Chapter 4. WPS configuration
WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) f unction allows you to add a ne w wireless device to an existing
network quickly.
If the wirele ss card supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), you can establish a w
connection between wir eless card an d router usi ng either Pu sh Button C onfiguration (PBC)
method or PIN method.
First, the WPS software should be in stalled. Insert the Resource CD into your CD- ROM drive.
To continue, double-click My Computer, and the n double -click the CD/DVD drive w here the
installation CD was placed. Open APPUSB150 folder, and double-click wps.exe. Then you will
see Figure 4-1.
Then, pleas e follow the step-by-step instruction to complete the WPS installation. After that,
WPS function can be enabled. Here we will introduce two ways to configure the WPS.
4.1 PBC (Push Button Configuration) method
1. Firstly, press the WPS button of the router. There are two ways:
1) Press the WPS button directly on the front panel of the Router shown in Figure 4-2 .
