7. Installing the camera
Find a suitable place for installation from which the area to be monitored can be
observed.
A suitable place for installation of this camera has the following features:
• Vibration-free
• No direct sunlight
There should be no devices with strong electrical fields such as
mobile telephones, radios and electrical motors etc in the vicin-
ity of the cameras. Heat sources could also lead to incorrect
function or defects.
The camera features infrared LEDs for night vision. Please note
that the images turn from colour to black/white with increasing
darkness and the resulting activation of the IR-LEDs.
Do not point the camera directly toward a source of bright sun-
light or toward strong or indirect illumination as this may lead to
overexposure and a fuzzy picture.
None of the connecting cables should be bent or squashed.
This can result on malfunctions, short circuits and defects in
the device.
Make sure that cables are not damaged when drilling or bolting
in place.
The supplied cameras (IP44 protected) are suited to outdoor
use. The plug in mains power unit, the monitor and the remote
control are approved for operation in dry, enclosed rooms only.
