2 Safety Notes

This unit is in accordance with the EC directive for electro-
magnetic compatibility 89/336/EEC.
The unit is only suitable for indoor use.
Avoid excessively warm locations for the unit or high humi-
dity (permissible operating temperature range 0-40°C).
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally intend-
ed, if it is connected or repaired in the wrong way, no liabili-
ty can be taken over for possible damage.
For cleaning only use a dry cloth for dust removing, by no
means chemicals or water.

3 Applications

With the video switch box SCD-50 up to three audio/video
sources, e. g. video recorder (VHS and S-VHS), computer,
satellite receiver, etc., can be switched to a TV set or a moni-
tor. Independent of this, dubbing between two connected
units is possible at the same time. For the connection of the
audio/video sources the video switch box is provided with
three fully equipped scart jacks 1-3. In addition there is the
facility to connect the switch box via phono audio and video
outputs to a HiFi system, a further video recorder or a second
TV set resp. monitor.
4 Connection of the Units to the
Video Switch Box
Only connect the units to the video switch box if they are
switched off.
1) Connect the TV set resp. the monitor to the scart output
jack (4). If the TV set is equipped with phono jacks, it can
also be connected to the audio output jacks (11) and to the
video output jack (12).
2) Connect the respective audio/video source (e. g. video
recorder, computer, satellite receiver) to the corresponding
scart jack (1), (2) or (3). Max. three units can be connect-
ed. With recording mode the recording video recorder
must be connected to the scart jack 1. A video recorder
