HITCH BALL INSTALLATION AND OPERATION:
• Install 1-inch shank hitch ball to the short end of ballmount as shown in figure 1.
Use hitch ball with 1-inch diameter threaded shank only. Follow ball manufacturer's instructions and warnings.
• Use torque wrench to tighten nut as specified. Use a "crowfoot" wrench to reach nut with torque wrench.
CLEVIS OPERATION:
• Use only a 1-inch diameter pin with positive retaining device. Pin must extend through both trailer members and
clevis. Install pin from top and install clip as shown. Clevis pin and clip sold separately.
• Never tow without a positive retaining device on a clevis pin. Loss of pin and separation of trailer could result.
• Pin must not extend excessively below clevis. Striking ground may cause pin damage or loss and separation of
trailer.
• Check ground clearance with loaded trailer and tow vehicle.
• When using as a clevis mount, trailer drawbar must not be able to contact the clevis platform with pin installed.
• When using ballmount, trailer/coupler must not contact clevis platform.
