POSSIBLE CAUSE
Appliance is not plugged in
No water in the tank
The water tank is not installed
properly.
There is not enough water in
the tank
The Cooling/Humidity but-
ton was not pressed
The pump is not working.
The cooling pad is not
sufficiently saturated with
water.
The water tank in the water
tank is not cool.
The cooling pad may be
clogged with residue or
debris.

POSSIBLE REMEDY
Check that appliance is
plugged into a working outlet
Fill the water tank with water.
Refer to EVAPORATIVE AIR
COOLER SET-UP section of
this manual.
Make sure the water tank is
securely in place. Refer to
EVAPORATIVE AIR COOLER
SET-UP section of this manual.
Refill the water tank. Refer to
EVAPORATIVE AIR COOLER
SET-UP section of this manual.
Press the Cooling/Humidity
button to activate.
Contact the BLACK + DECKER
Customer Service Center
Operate the unit for 2-3
minutes to make sure the
cooling pad becomes
saturated with water. If speed
3 was selected the unit will
operate in speed 2 until the
cooling pad is saturated and
revert back to speed 3.
Use the optional ice packs to
cool the water
Clean the cooling pad
by rinsing it in water and
allowing it to thoroughly dry.
