USING THE PRODUCT
BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT
AIR FILTER
The air filter is used to prevent dirt and other particles from possibly entering the engine causing internal damage to it.
The air filter requires regular maintenance. Always check the air filter before starting the engine.
4-STROKE ENGINE OIL
The product is NOT supplied with engine oil, although residual oil may be present at the factory. It is essential to add
the proper motor oil to the motor type before using it. Failure to add engine oil will void the product warranty.
Four-stroke engines require engine oil in the crankcase for lubrication of internal components. Severe or irreparable
damage can occur if the engine is allowed to run without engine oil. The engine oil level requires regular maintenance.
Check the engine oil level and make sure that the oil level is at or just below the maximum level indicator. Always
check the engine oil level before starting the engine.
FUEL
ATTENTION: The engine must be cold before refilling the tank.
Fill the fuel tank properly with the correct type of fuel. Use unleaded, ethanol-free gasoline (higher RON values will
provide the best engine performance). Do not use old or contaminated fuel.
To fill or refuel:
1.
Place the machine vertically on a flat, level surface.
2.
Clean the machine around the tank so that no dirt or other material gets into the engine when removing
the cap.
3.
Remove (turn to the left) the fuel filler cap.
4.
Using a funnel, carefully fill the tank with fuel. Do not fill it above the top of the filter (if equipped with it)
or it will overfill the tank.
5.
When finished, replace (turn clockwise) the fuel filler cap until it is securely closed. Clean any residual fuel
from the machine. If fuel has been spilled, move the machine away from the spill before starting the engine.
Gasoline is highly flammable. Please note the following precautions:
•
Keep gasoline in a special drum for this purpose.
•
Fill the tank with a funnel.
•
Always refuel outdoors.
•
Do not smoke during filling.
•
Never open the fuel cap while the engine is running or warm.
•
Do not start the engine if there is a little gasoline in the area. Use the machine away from where the gasoline has
spilled and avoid any contact with a hot source.
SPARK PLUG
The spark plug may be disconnected from the spark plug wire. If this is the case, place the power cord over the spark
plug terminal and push downward to connect it securely to the terminal.
