ALARM FUNCTION
a) Setting the alarm
-
The alarm time is indicated on the clock face by a small clock hand.
-
Turn the adjustment wheel on the housing's rear in arrow direction until the
required alarm time is shown on the clock face.
 
Turn the adjustment wheel in arrow direction only, otherwise the alarm time
will not be displayed correctly.
b) Activating / deactivating the alarm function
Please bring the side switch at the side of the cabinet into the required position:
ON
Alarm function is activated
OFF
Alarm function is deactivated
c) Stopping the alarm signal & snooze function
A crescendo alarm sounds at the set alarm time. This is an alarm sound whose vol-
ume increases slowly, which allows you to wake up gently.
The alarm signal can be interrupted for approx. 5 minutes by pressing the SNOOZE/
LIGHT button on the housing's top side. The signal will be restarted afterwards
(snooze function).
To switch the alarm function off, move the sliding switch on the housing's rear to
the OFF position.
LIGHTING
Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button on the housing's top side to turn on the lighting of
the clock face for a few seconds.
LOCATION
Select an even, fl at and stable installation location. Protect valuable furniture
surfaces by using an appropriate underlay otherwise scratch marks can occur.
Set up the product in such a manner that it cannot fall down.
To ensure a correct DCF reception, the radio-controlled alarm clock should not be
placed next to electronic devices, cables, metal parts, etc.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be disassembled
for any reason.
Please use a soft, dry, clean cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents, as they can discolour the plastic casing.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
Remove any inserted battery and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Batteries and Rechargeable Batteries
The end user is legally obliged (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Contaminated batteries/rechargeable batteries are labelled with symbols to
indicate that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The symbols for
the relevant heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the la-
belling is visible on the battery/rechargeable battery e.g. under the refuse
bin symbol shown on the left).
You can dispose of your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of
charge at your community's collection point or any place where batteries/
rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.

requirements and the other relevant regulations of Directive 1999/5/EC.
 
