The R6S utility pump is a handy, easy to use tool for home,
farm, and yard water removal applications such as draining
window wells, stock tanks, boats, and shallow flooded areas
such as basements. Simply connect the R6S to a standard
garden hose on the discharge, place the pump in the area
to be drained, plug into any standard grounded 115 volt
receptacle (do not stand in or touch the water while
plugging the pump in or during use!), and it'll drain the
water down to 1/8".

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION

Failure to follow these instructions may cause serious bodily injury and/or property damage.
The R6S utility pump has built-in thermal overload protection
which means the unit will automatically shut off when it senses
it could reach an overheat level. Once cooled down – either
naturally or by being submerged in a bucket of cold water (5+
gallons for about 20 minutes) – it will reset and is ready to
pump again. Once the area to be drained reaches a maximum
1/8", unplug the pump. The R6S is designed for residential
clean water "spot" jobs and cannot be used as a continuous
duty sump pump or fountain pump.
WARNING, risk of electric shock – This pump is supplied with a
grounding conductor and grounding type attachment plug. To
reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected
only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP
1
Connect a standard 5/8" garden hose to the utility
pump threaded discharge.
STEP
2
Place the utility pump into the water to be pumped.
STEP
3
Move away from the area to be pumped, and while
standing on dry ground, plug into a dry and
grounded outlet.
GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR UTILITY PUMP
Optimum pump performance is reached at a maximum
25' garden hose length. The pump continues to work at longer
lengths, but the GPM reduces due to loss of friction in the
longer hose length. Make sure the water runs smoothly through
the garden hose – no kinks or obstructions! Basically, if the
pump "hums" – it works. If there is little or no movement of
water, that means there is an air lock (just tip the pump on
its side and submerge in water), or something is clogging the

NOTE: The utility pump is engineered for water removal in
temporary applications, water temperature no warmer than
104°F. The utility pump is not to be used for continuous duty
or permanent installations. DO NOT RUN DRY. The R6S utility
pump should be monitored during operation. Pump failures due
to mud, tar, cement, wood chips, corrosive material damage,
or requests for return following temporary use are not covered
under the manufacturing warranty and will not be exchanged,
returned for credit or refund.
1. Power cord must always
be plugged into a
grounded receptacle.
2. Never place pump in water
or remove from water while
the unit is plugged in!
3. Unplug this unit when water
is drained to 1/8".

unit. In that case, just tip the pump upside down to eject any
foreign object, then flush with water. Never place pump in
water or remove from water while the unit is plugged in!
Remember, this utility pump has built-in overload protection
and will shut itself off to prevent overheating. This is not pump
failure or a manufacturing defect. Call the WATER ACE PUMP CO.
