INSTRUCTION MANUAL
ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROLLER FOR BRUSHLESS MOTORS
BLACK FET SERIES
INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing this most High‐End PROTRONIK ESC.
This light and small controller can handle very high power. The internal micro controller gives the pilot a very accurate and efficient control of the
motor and good security for the power pack.
The number of user parameters helps you to match the controller to the motor, battery and model.
PROTRONIK controllers are exclusively for Brushless RC model motor.
Please read very carefully this instruction manual before using tour PROTRONIK controller.

Very efficient heatsink
Well sized wires
BEC CONSIDERATION
BLACK FET SERIES ESCs are BEC controllers (Battery Eliminator Circuit). It can power receiver and servos from the power pack.
BEC delivers power even if the power pack is empty for the motor. To avoid any problem, the controller cut the motor to preserve energy for the
radio. The cutoff threshold is settable. This also preserves the power pack itself from a deep discharge
BEC power is not infinite. Please verify very carefully that the power you need for servos is compatible with the power the controller can handle.
A 1 A BEC can power 2 servos (LiPo 3S) or 3 servos (LiPo 2S).
A 2 A BEC can power 3 servos (LiPo 3S) or 4 servos (LiPo 2S).
A 3 A BEC can power 4 servos (LiPo 3S) or 5 servos (LiPo 2S).
If the power pack is > 3 LiPo or 10 Nixx, it is not recommended to use BEC because it will become too hot to power servos. Power supply can be
interrupted at any moment, depending on the temperature: if it raise over 115 °C, a self protect circuit will disconnect the BEC output power.
This can be very dangerous for the model and people.
IMPORTANT: if you use BEC outside limits, the controller can stop to delivers power to the receiver and servos. You will loose control and crash
your model!
Please verify very carefully that you can use BEC before flying.
