Handling rechargeable devices
• Danger of fire! Only use batteries approved by the
manufacturer. Only use chargers approved by the
manufacturer. Keep battery away from metal
objects that could cause short circuiting when not
in use. There is a risk of injuries and fires.
• Prior to connecting the charger, verify that the
power supply connection corresponds with the
connecting data of the device.
• The fuse must be a residual current circuit-
breaker with a measured residual current of no
more than 30 mA.
• Only charge the battery in closed rooms.
• Ensure that the device is switched off before
installing the battery.
• Never switch on the device during the charging
process.
• Fluid can escape from the battery when used
incorrectly. Battery fluid may result in skin irrita-
tions and burns. Avoid contact! In the event of
accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Immediately seek the aid of a physician in the
event of eye contact.
Device-specific safety instructions
• Keep all body parts away from the cutting unit.
• Juveniles under the age of 16 and users who are
not familiar with operating the device are not
allowed to use it.
• Make sure you are positioned firmly and with a
natural stance when working with the device.
• Never attempt to remove cut material or hold onto
material being cut while the knife is operating.
Remove cut materials that are jammed only after
the device has been switched off.
• Only work with good light and visibility.
• Never work at above head level! Do not bend for-
wards or lean over backwards!
• Pay attention when walking backwards. Danger
of stumbling!
• Never work in the rain.
• Carry the device by its handle with stationary
blade and applied blade guard. Only store device
in the case.
• Always hold the unit tightly with both hands.
• Make sure there are no stray animals or objects in
the area before starting work. Remove any
objects that may be catapulted from or jammed in
the cutting unit.
• The clothing of the operator should be close-fit-
ting. Avoid wearing loosely fitting clothing. Wear
sturdy footwear and long work trousers.
• Remember that moving parts may also be located
behind ventilation and venting slots.
• Symbols affixed to your tools may not be removed
or covered. Information on the device that is no
longer legible must be replaced immediately.
