Warning: Noise can have serious effects on your health. If the machine noise exceeds 85 dB (A), please wear suitable hearing protection.
Warning: The vibration emission value can vary depending on the type and the manner in which the electric tool is used.
Try to minimise stress from vibrations as low as possible. Some examples of means for reducing the vibration stress are wearing gloves while using
the tool and limiting work time. In doing so, all parts of the operating cycle must be taken into account (such as times in which the electric tool is
switched off or times in which it is switched on, but is not running under a load).
UNPACKING
1. Open the packaging and carefully remove the device. Remove the packaging material and any shipping packaging (if present).
2. Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
3. Check the tool and accessories for damage during transport. In case of such defects, contact your vendor immediately. Subsequent claims will not be
recognized.
4. If possible, keep the packaging until the end of the warranty period.
5. Familiarise yourself with the tool through the operating manual before using it for the first time.
6. Use only original accessories and replacement parts. Replacement parts can be obtained from your dealer.
Warning: Do not let children play with the tool and the packaging! There is a risk of serious injury!
ASSEMBLY
Fitting the support arm (19) to the saw table (21) (Fig. 3)
1. Rotate the support arm base plate (22) until the support arm base plate hole aligns with the hole in the saw table.
2. Insert the hexagon socket screw from above through the aligned holes in the saw table (21).
3. Tilt the saw table (21) on its side and fasten the provided nut onto the hexagon socket screw.
4. Fix the nut is place using an open-ended spanner (not included).
Fitting the machine onto the support arm (19) (Fig. 15)
1. Align the holes of the metal band saw (12) to the holes in the support arm (20).
2. Then screw the provided hexagon socket screws through the support arm into the metal band saw.
3. Now tighten the hexagon socket screws.
Fitting the saw band (Fig. 7-11)
1. Loosen the Phillips screws (a) from the saw band guard (left/right) (9).
2. Remove the saw band guard (9) by sliding to left or right.
3. Position the saw band (11) such that the teeth are on the base and are angled in the direction of the workpiece stop (10), as shown in Figure 9.
4. Slide the saw band (11) into the guide rollers (18), as shown in Figure 10.
5. Hold the saw band (11) in the guide rollers (18) and place it around both drive units (16).
6. Tension the saw band (11) using the tightening lever for the saw band (13).
7. Push the saw band guard (left/right) (9) back onto the metal band saw and screw it tight again.
8. Caution! Do not operate the metal band saw without the saw band guard.
9. Switch the metal band saw on and off a few times, to ensure that the saw band is sitting correctly.
Caution: Maintain physical distance from the saw band area during testing.
BEFORE OPERATION
ATTENTION! Always make sure the device is fully assembled before operation!
Check all screws and connections for firm seating.
Check that the saw band is in perfect condition.
Remove all tools from the clamping jaw and the saw table.
• The saw band must be able to run freely.
• In case of previously machined wood, be aware of the possible presence of any foreign objects, such as nails or screws, etc.
• Before pressing the on/off switch (5), make sure that the saw band is correctly fitted, and that all moving parts run smoothly.
• Before plugging in the machine, make sure that the data on the type plate matches with that of the mains power supply.
