MAIN SETTINGS.
• For each control mode (fixed or modulating) there are 4 operating modes: auto, comfort, economy
and off.
• PID type control.
• Mixer valve with parametrisable opening and closing times (valve opening/closing time ≥ 30 s).
• Scenario function that sets the control and operating mode to the stored conditions.
• Anti-seize function for circulation pump and mixer valve.
• Anti-condensation function (conditioning only).
• System alarm detection function through the auxiliary input. The alarm indicator logic can be con-
figured as N.C or N.O.; a SELV voltage-free clean contact must be used, which must ensure safety
isolation.
• Maximum delivery temperature limitation in heating can be used to limit the screed temperature.
• Minimum delivery temperature limitation in cooling.
• Delivery probe failure alarm.
• External probe failure alarm.
• Auxiliary probe failure alarm.
• OUT3 proportional output overload alarm.
• Block alarm when the auxiliary contact input is opened or closed according to the set polarity (N.O. or N.C.);
in an alarm, the climate control device is switched on, the pump is switched off and the valve closed. Once
the alarm has been resolved the control device returns to normal operation.
• Test procedure (device not configured) to check the connections and earthing of the climate control
device during installation.
For more details refer to the By-me Plus System manual.
IMPORTANT: The mixer valve used in the system is set during configuration and the control device
only uses that output for control; this means that, during operation, the outputs OUT1 and OUT3
are mutually excluded. It is not possible to control a 3-point mixer valve and a proportional valve
at the same time.
IMPORTANT: The anti-condensation function prevents the formation of condensation. In air-condi-
tioned rooms, suitable air treatment must always been foreseen.

FOR THE OPERATIONS OF INSTALLATION AND CONFIGURATION, SEE THE
MANUAL FOR THE By-me Plus SYSTEM.
• Functional units: 5 (Main, Circulation pump, External temperature, Auxiliary temperature and
Humidity).
Selecting the functional unit being configured: during group creation, when the app requires the device
configuration button to be pressed:
- press the configuration button to start the procedure;
- wait for the red LED to light up;
- with the red LED on, the app will configure the functional block; at the end of this operation the red
LED will go out.
INSTALLATION RULES.
• Installation should be carried out by qualified staff in compliance with the current regulations regard-
ing the installation of electrical equipment in the country where the products are installed.
• For heating with underfloor radiant panels a safety thermostat must be pre-calibrated to 50/55°C.
For the climate control device, the maximum delivery temperature limitation value must be chosen
according to the physical limit of the system and must be lower than the temperature that the safety
thermostat is calibrated to.
• The temperature probe cables must not be laid parallel to the load power cables of pumps, burners,
etc. Lay the probe conductors separately from the mains conductors.
• The connection between the climate control device 01465 and the delivery, external and auxiliary
probes must be made in a dedicated conduit.
• Delivery temperature probe
If the circulation pump is installed on the delivery line, the probe must be installed on the line down-
stream of the pump and at least 1.0÷1.5 m downstream from the mixer valve; if the circulation pump
is installed on the return line, the probe must be installed downstream form the mixer valve, again at
a distance of at least 1.0÷1.5 m.
The installation may be by contact or immersion. Installation by immersion is recommended as it
guarantees greater temperature precision and better control dynamics.
For probe installation instructions refer to the supplier's technical documentation (prescribed hole
diameters, pressures, temperatures, etc.).
If you are using the VIMAR wired temperature sensor please refer to the relevant instruction sheet
for art. 02965.1.
- Use a cable with a length of at most 10 m and a cross-section of at least 1.0 mm
the 2-wire sensor PT1000.
- Use a cable with a length of at most 2 m and a cross-section of at least 0.5 mm
the 2-wire sensor PT100.
- Use a cable with a length of at most 10 m for connecting the NTC sensor 02965.1.
• External temperature probe
It must be installed outside the building on the North, North-West/North-East side at least 2.5 m from
the ground; it must not be influenced by heat sources and must therefore be protected from sunlight,
away from windows, doors, chimneys or other direct thermal disturbances and air currents.
Use a cable with max. length 50 m with probe NTC 02965.1 and 10 m with probes PT100 3-wire
and PT1000 2/3-wire. Use a cable max. length 2 m with PT100 2-wire probes.
• The analogue output must be connected to the SELV circuit and must not be connected to
a live circuit.
• Maximum distance between control device and valve: 10 m with twisted cable.
• Max. length of auxiliary input: 10 m.
• For alarm indicating functions, the auxiliary input must be connected to a voltage-free clean SELV
contact, guaranteeing double or reinforced isolation.
• Humidity probe position: depending on the system characteristics, the humidity probe must be
positioned in the point most at risk of condensation.
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE.
LV directive. EMC directive.
Standards EN 60730-2-9, EN 50491.
REACH (EU) Regulation no. 1907/2006 – Art.33. The product may contain traces of lead.
WEEE - Information for users
If the crossed-out bin symbol appears on the equipment or packaging, this means the product must not be
included with other general waste at the end of its working life. The user must take the worn product to a
sorted waste center, or return it to the retailer when purchasing a new one. Products for disposal can be con-
signed free of charge (without any new purchase obligation) to retailers with a sales area of at least 400 m
if they measure less than 25 cm. An efficient sorted waste collection for the environmentally friendly disposal
of the used device, or its subsequent recycling, helps avoid the potential negative effects on the environment
and people's health, and encourages the re-use and/or recycling of the construction materials.
