Prepare the cookie dough
Basic ingredients for one cylinder (one cylinder of dough can make about 2 dozen cookies):
120 g soft butter or margarine
90 g sugar
1/3 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg
150 g all-purpose flour
Beat the margarine or butter in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer on 'medium to high
1.
speed' for 30 seconds. Add sugar and baking powder and beat until combined.
2.
Add the egg and beat until combined.
3.
Beat in the flour with the mixer until the dough has been formed. If the dough is too soft or sticky
then the dough will stick to the cylinder and will be difficult to push out.
4.
Now add some more flour to mix once again or just refrigerate for 15 minutes before using. If
the dough is too stiff, it won't release from the cookie press. Freshly prepared cookie dough will
provide the best taste and results.
5.
If refrigerated before and now you would like to use the dough, please add some yolk or egg to
the mix again before processing through the cookie press.
