2. Secure the conical collar to the plenum with self-tapping metal screws.
IMPORTANT: UV Diffusers must be installed using the supplied conical collars to ensure security and
performance of the product. Do not use other collars or adapters.
3. Lay the diffuser in the false ceiling or auxiliary frame.
4. Secure the four earthquake tabs to the building structure using threaded rods or metallic cables (not supplied).
5. Connect duct to the round part of the conical collar. Secure the assembly and make sure there is no air leakage. In
order to ensure zero leakage, it is recommended to seal the duct connection as well as the plenum box's edges
with UL certified aluminum duct tape.
IMPORTANT: A. Product should not be installed within a direct line of sight to any plastics or polymers not previously
evaluated suitable for UV exposure. B. Product should not be installed with a direct line of sight to any opening that
may expose the user or serviceman to UV exposure within 4 meters (158in). Any service panel or opening in the air
handling circuit that would expose the user to direct UV contact should utilize a provided interlock.

Installing the UV Lamps
6. Remove the lamp from packaging while wearing cotton gloves. Keep the packaging in case you need to return the
lamp for warranty purposes.
NOTE : Make sure that the lamp is handled with care as it is made out of quartz.
Once the seal is broken, warranty no longer applies for broken lamp.
7. Install the lamp in unit while wearing cotton gloves:
a. Open the diffuser's face to have access inside the plenum.
b. Remove the filter by pressing the 3 filter clips.
c. Remove the four screws holding the UVC Barrier, then pull down the UVC Barrier (Figure 3).
d. Slowly insert the lamp connector over the pins.
e. Open the clamp and slide in the lamp porcelain end cap.
f. Close the clamp.
g. Put the UVC Barrier back in place and tighten the 4 screws.
h. Put the filter back in place and secure it with the three filter clips (Figure 4). The single clip is harder to
push and must "bite" into the filter cardboard to ensure an airtight filter installation.
