SERVICE PROCEDURES
To avoid serious injury or death, read all
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
at the front of this manual.
Micro Switches
There are three micro switches in the unit—the primary switch,
the secondary switch, and the monitor switch. The primary
and monitor switches are located on the right side of the unit,
and the secondary switch is located on the left side of the
unit. Perform the "Testing/Troubleshooting" on each switch. If
any of the switches do not perform as described, replace the
appropriate switch.
Testing/Troubleshooting
• Primary Switch—When the secondary switch and monitor
switch are closed, LED 1 on the control board should be lit
when the primary switch is closed and off when the primary
switch is open.
• Secondary Switch—When the monitor switch is closed
(primary switch can be open or closed), LED 2 on the
control board should be lit when the secondary switch is
closed and off when the secondary switch is open.
• Monitor Switch—If all three switches are closed, the shunt
should not trip. If the primary and secondary switches are
closed and the monitor switch opens, the shunt should trip.
DANGER! Completely shut down and unplug oven
before proceeding. Refer to "Shutdown" procedure.
Replacement Procedure
1. Completely shut down and unplug the oven. Refer to the
"Shutdown" procedure in the OPERATION section.
2. Remove the right or left side panel, depending on the micro
switch(es) being replaced. Refer to the "Removing the Side
Panels" procedure in this section.
3. Remove two (2) Philips-head screws that secure the switch
carrier to the oven frame. Remove the switch carrier from
the oven frame.
4. Disconnect the lead wires from the micro switch (refer to
the wiring diagram). Note the positions of the wires for
installation of the new switch.
5. Remove the two (2) hex nuts that secure the micro switch
to the switch carrier.
6. Install the new micro switch by reversing the steps above.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Many of the service procedures in this section require removal
of insulation to access the parts. All illustrations are shown with
insulation removed for clarity.
Double Mini Circuit Breaker, 15A
Testing/Troubleshooting
• Verify that supply voltage is passing through the double
mini circuit breaker.
- If voltage is not present on the line side of the breaker,
check for supply voltage at the electrical receptacle.
- If voltage is present on line side of the breaker, but not
on the load side, reset the breaker. If voltage is still not
present on the load side, replace the breaker.
Replacement Procedure
1. Completely shut down and unplug the oven. Refer to the
"Shutdown" procedure in the OPERATION section.
2. Remove the left side panel. Refer to the "Removing the
Side Panels" procedure in this section.
3. Disconnect two (2) lead wires from the double mini circuit
breaker and three (3) lead wires from the shunt next to the
breaker.
4. Insert a flat blade screwdriver into the green locking tabs on
the double mini circuit breaker to release the breaker and
the shunt from the DIN rail.
NOTE: The double mini circuit breaker and the shunt must be
removed from the DIN rail together. Once they are off
the DIN rail, they can be separated.
5. Install the new double mini circuit breaker by reversing the
steps above.

IMPORTANT NOTE
If the micro switches, magnetrons, shunt, or oven door are
serviced in any way, a full microwave leakage test is required.
Leakage must remain below 5.0 mW/cm
• Refer to the "Micro Switch Adjustment and Microwave
Leakage Test" Instruction Sheet P/N 07.04.705.00,
available from Ovention.
