IMPORTANT The motor must always be
running with the drive disengaged.
IMPORTANT To prevent damage to
the transmission, do not pull the machine
backwards with the drive engaged.
On certain models, the feed rate can be adjusted
by using the selection knob (Fig. 9.B).
You can select 9 different levels of speed.
Maximum speed (about 5 Km/h).

Minimum speed (about 2.5 Km/h).
Each "unit" of the selection knob (Fig. 9.B)
corresponds to a feed rate level change.
NOTE The last speed level selected
remains set after the machine shutdown.
NOTE Traction can be engaged also with
the machine stopped, and with the battery
and the safety key inserted in their seats.

CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Lower or raise the chassis to cut the
grass at different heights.
Do this when the cutting means is stationary.
The cutting height is adjusted by the levers (Fig.10.A).
The four wheels must be adjusted to the same height.

USING THE MACHINE
The safety regulations to follow are described in
chap. 2. Strictly comply with these indications to avoid
serious risks or dangers.
6.1
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES
Before starting work , it is necessary to carry out
several checks and operations to ensure you
can work efficiently and in maximum safety:
Make sure the safety key is not inserted in its housing.
Place the machine in a stable horizontal
position on the ground.
6.1.1
Checking the battery
Before using the machine for the first time after
purchase, fully charge the battery following
the instructions in the battery booklet.
Before every use of the machine, check the battery charge
status according to the instructions in the battery booklet.
6.1.2
Preparing the machine before starting work
NOTE This machine can be used to mow lawns in a
number of different ways; before starting work, prepare
the machine based on how the lawn is to be mowed.
a.
Preparation for grass cutting and
collection in the grass catcher:
1. Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.11.A) and fasten
the grass catcher (Fig.11.B) correctly as shown in
the illustration.
2.
On models with a side discharge: make sure that
the side discharge guard (Fig.12.C) is lowered.
b.
Preparation for mowing and grass
rear discharge onto the ground:
1. Remove the grass catcher and check that the rear
discharge guard (Fig.12.A) maintains its lowered
position.
2.
On models with a side discharge: make sure that
the side discharge guard (Fig.12.B) is lowered.
c.
Preparation for mowing and mulching:
1.
Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.13.A) and fit
the chute flap (Fig.13.B) in the discharge ope-
ning holding it inclined slightly to the right.
2.
Fasten in place by inserting the two pins
(Fig.13.C) into the designated holes until the
toothed coupling clicks into place (Fig.13.D).
3.
On models with a side discharge: make sure that
the side discharge guard (Fig.12.C) is lowered.
To remove the chute flap:
1.
Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.13.A).
2.
Press the centre to release the to-
othed coupling (Fig.13.D).
d.
Preparation for mowing and grass
side discharge onto the ground:
1.
Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.14.A) and fit
the chute flap (Fig.14.B) in the discharge ope-
ning holding it inclined slightly to the right.
2.
Fasten in place by inserting the two pins
(Fig.14.C) into the designated holes until the
toothed coupling clicks into place (Fig.14.D).
3.
Push the safety lever (Fig. 14.E) slightly and
lift the side discharge guard (Fig. 14.F).
4.
Insert the side discharge chute (Fig.14.G).
5.
Close the side discharge guard (Fig.14.F) so that the
side discharge chute (Fig.14.G) is locked in place.
To remove the chute flap:
1.
Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.14.A).
2.
Press the centre to release the to-
othed coupling (Fig.14.D).
