IMPORTANT NOTE
** DO NOT CONNECT THE YELLOW WIRE FROM THE KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 UNTIL THE UNIT HAS BEEN PROGRAMMED**
Functionality
The remote starter must be programmed for DIESEL MODE (Wait to Start) in order for the Brake pedal to be activated at least 5 seconds before remote start. It is
normal that the brake lights turn on before remote start.
Once the vehicle is started, the KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 will automatically shut down the engine once the Ground Out When Running is removed. This feature can be
bypassed simply by pressing the UNLOCK button on the remote starter transmitter once the engine is running, thus allowing the driver 45 seconds to enter the
vehicle and step on the brake pedal without having the vehicle shut down.
If the vehicle is remote started with the SMART-KEY inside the vehicle, the KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 will not shut down the engine once the Ground Out When Running
is removed.

Make the connections of the KEY-
OVERRIDE-SL2 to the vehicle:
Connector 1 (Black):
Determine the type of installation:
INSTALLATION WITH DATA-LINK (See P.3)
INSTALLATION WITHOUT DATA-LINK (See P.3)
Connector 2 (White):
Make the connections
1- Connect the Green wire (Start-Stop) and DATA
wires (TX & RX) with the factory ENGINE START-
STOP button.
2- DO NOT connect the yellow wire with the 1K
resistor before the end of programming procedure
of KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 module.
Remove the battery from 1

Keep programming button pressed while
inserting connector 1 into the
KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 module.
Release the programming button when the
LED turns ON.
