Day/Night dome camera
1. GENERAL
The VD310F is designed matches to the decorations in modern build-
ings, and the high tech circuit design make them the most suitable
choice in the future domes market.
2. FEATURES

2.2. Automatic Gain Control
Automatic: The sensitivity increases automatically when light
is low.
2.3. Varifocal lens 4 ~ 9 mm
Build-in advanced high speed 4 ~ 9 mm @ F1.2 with DC iris con-
trol.
2.4. Level adjustment
When switch to D.D, use level adjustment to take a clearer pic-
ture in bright and dark areas.
4.5. Zoom Ring
Loosen the zoom ring knob to adjust the viewing range. Turn
the ring towards <WIDE> or <TELE> as necessary. When the set-
ting is finished, tighten the zoom ring knob.
4.6. Power input DC-Jack
Use the connector to connect with DC 12 V power adaptor.
5. OPERATION & ADJUSTMENT
5.1. Remove the plastic dome cover.
5.2. Loosen the two screws of supporting bracket to remove the
camera body.
5.3. Using four screws to fix camera base on the ceiling.
5.4. Put the camera body back to the supporting bracket, then
tighten the two screws to fix the camera.
5.5. Connect the BNC connector of the camera to a color monitor,
or other video device thought at 75 ohm type coaxial cable
with BNC female connector at cable extension.
5.6. Connect the DC 12 V regulated power source of the camera
(DC-Jack) to the DC 12 V power in jack with 2 mm center +
outer-plug.
6. ADJUSTMENT
6.1. Back Light Compensation (BLC) Adjustment
When the background of the subject is very bright and the sub-
ject itself is dark, set the back light compensation (BCL) on. The
BLC will measure the light of the image center and the lens iris
will automatically set for optimum image quality.
6.2. Level Control
The iris level of lens can be adjusted by the level control. Turn
the level control to the right direction and video images will
become brighter, turn the level control to the left direction and
the video images will become darker.

3. PRECAUTIONS
3.1. Do not expose the camera to humidity and dust. If the camera is mount-
ed out door, camera housing is required.
3.2. Do not disassemble it or place it on an unstable base.
3.3. Do not touch the surface of CCD sensor by hand directly. When the
camera is not in use, put the cover cap on the lens mount.
3.4. Never face the camera toward the sun.
3.5. Use proper AC power source otherwise the camera will not function cor-
rectly.
3.6. In case the camera with any defect, please inform the qualified service
person. Don't try to disassemble the camera by yourself.
4. FUNCTION OF PARTS
4.1. Camera Cover
This cover will protect the camera from dust and damage.
4.2. Lens
This varifocal lens allows users to adjust the zoom and focus manually.
4.3. 3-GON-DOME Base
The camera unit is set in the 3 GON-DOME base.
4.4. Focus Ring
Loosen the focus ring knob to set the focus. Turn the ring towards <FAR>
or <NEAR> as necessary. When the setting is finished, tighten the focus
ring knob.
6.3. Zoom and Focus Adjustments
After the camera was installed, the zoom and focus of the lens must be
adjusted.
• Loosen the zoom ring knob, then turn the ring towards <WIDE> or
<TELE> as necessary to obtain the desired view range.

The viewing range will be smaller and the subject is larger.
• Loosen the focus ring knob, then turn the ring towards <FAR> or
<NEAR> as necessary to obtain the clear video image.
Repeat these two steps until the best image is obtained. Once the lens
setting finished, tighten the zoom ring and the focus ring knobs.
