42. It is dangerous to use the reclined cradle on an elevated surface e.g. a
table.
43. The bassinet/carrycot is suitable for a child who cannot sit up unaided, roll
over and cannot push itself up on its hands and knees. Maximum weight
of the child: 9kg (20 lbs).
44. Maximum weight for the child in the seat when used independently of the
chassis is 9 kg (20 lbs).
45. This bassinet is only suitable for a child who cannot sit up unaided.
46. Do not use the seat off of the chassis once your child can sit unaided.
47. NEVER use the bassinet or seat as means to transport an infant in a motor
vehicle.
48. Do not let other children play unattended near the bassinet/carrycot.
49. The reclined cradle is not intended for prolonged periods of sleeping.
50. The seat or bassinet/carrycot do not replace a cot or a bed. Should your
child need to sleep, then it should be placed in a suitable cot or bed.
51. To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants
be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your
physician.
52. Strangulation Hazard: Child can strangle in loose restraint straps. NEVER
leave child in seat when straps are loose or undone.
53. Children have STRANGLED in loose or partially buckled straps. Fully restrain
child at all times.
54. Use only the mattress and pad provided by the manufacturer.
55. Bassinet or seat can roll over on soft surfaces and suffocate child. NEVER
place carriers on beds, sofas, or other soft surfaces.
56. SUFFOCATION HAZARD
Infants have suffocated:
- In gaps between extra padding and the side of the bassinet/carrycot, and
- On soft bedding. Use ONLY the pad provided by Bugaboo.
- NEVER add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding.
- Seat can roll over on soft surfaces and suffocate child. NEVER place seat on
beds, sofas, or other soft surfaces.
