Figure 3 shows the exposed screw fastened on the acrylic
apron.

Plastic caps are colour-matched based on the colour of the
acrylic bathtub.
Note: Whirlpool tubs longer than 5 feet must have an
underside support installed in the centre of the front edge of
the tub. Use 1" x 2" wood to give full support on the threshold.
Install support so that it does not interfere with the rest of the
installation procedures. Refer to Figure 5.

INSTALLATION CLEAN-UP
Refer to the Installation Instructions and Owner's Manual for
the Acrylic Bathtubs for information on cleaning and
precautions to be taken.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Have a licensed electrician make the electrical installation to
ensure
that all the minimum requirements of the local
electrical safety codes are met.
The pump-motor is tested at the factory for proper operation.
Refer to the motor nameplate for HP rating and electrical
supply.
The installation must conform to the local electrical safety
codes. The following are general requirements only; they do
not cover all details or all situations.
For whirlpool models, electrical connection is a standard
class A GFCI - NEMA receptacle. See figure 6 and 7 for
detailed installation. The cable should consist of 2 wires
plus a ground wire and for distances up to 100 ft. (30 m)
sized as follows:
0.75 HP
Some local codes may require a disconnect switch. This
can be installed in the wall or near the motor in the service
compartment. If installed in the wall it must be at least 1.5
m (5 ft.) away from the tub so that the person in the tub
cannot reach it. If installed in the service compartment it
should be mounted to a stud and not directly under the
tub.The switch may be a standard wall switch as long as
the ampere rating is at least as great as the ampere
protection rating noted above.

Minimum height for NEMA plug as per the standard is
38 mm, but Mirolin Industries' recommended safe zone
height is 305 mm (12"). Figure 7.
Receptacle shall be installed outside the exclusion
zone.
Receptacle should have a spray cover if there is no
exclusion zone.
Supply connection power supply cord shall be three
conductor, size 14 AWG and provided with an
attachment plug cap rated 15A 125V.
