Using the child seat in a vehicle
Position the child seat on one of the rear
seats or on the front passenger seat.

Warning: the child seat must be positioned
facing in the opposite direction to that in
which the vehicle is travelling.
Warning: in some countries the Highway
Code prohibits the fitting of child seats on
front seats: check the Highway Code of the
country you are in.
Warning: do not place the child seat on a
front seat if there is an active airbag.
Warning: do not place the child seat on a
seat fitted with only a lap safety belt.
Warning: do not insert anything between the
child seat and the seat of the vehicle.
Warning: do not locate the child seat on
swivel seats or seats facing the opposite
direction to that in which the vehicle is
travelling.
How to fit the child seat in a vehicle
Position the child seat on the seat of the vehicle,
pushing it against the backrest (fig. 21).
Warning: The safety belt positioning points
are coloured light blue. Do not locate the car
seat belt in positions other than those shown.
Identify the car seat belt positioning points (B
and G).
Pass the car safety belt waist strap through both
the guides (G) located on the front section of the
child seat structure (fig. 22).
Close the car seat belt (fig. 23).
Pass the chest strap over the child seat (fig. 24).
Run the car safety belt chest strap through the
strap guide (B) located on the rear of the child
seat structure (fig. 25).
Position the carry handle as shown in the figure
(fig. 26).
Warning: tighten the car seat belt well to
eliminate any play.
Warning: check that the car seat belt is not
twisted at any point.
SUGGESTIONS
If the car seat belt appears to be too short:
•
Check that the child seat is pushed
against the car seat backrest.
•
If possible, move the car seat back as far
as possible.
•
If possible, adjust the height of the car
seat belt to the lowest position.
How to remove the child seat
Release the car safety belt.
Unthread the car safety belt from the child seat
and allow it to retract.
Maintenance
Remove the cover (E) completely for washing.
To remove the cover:
Press the red button on the buckle (K) and open
it (fig. 27).
Remove the padding (M).
Open the compartment (C) on the back of the
seat (fig. 28).
Unthread both harness straps from the backrest
(fig. 29).
Slide the cover off the buttons (N) and (I) (fig. 30
and 31).
Pass the buckle (K) through the hole in the
cover (fig. 32).
Lift the polystyrene (fig. 33).
Release the elastic loops that hold down the
cover (fig. 34).
Put the polystyrene back in the shell to avoid
any damage to it.
Repeat the above operations in reverse to refit
the cover.
Warning: After refitting the cover, carefully
check that the straps and padding are correctly
fitted.
Follow the fabric washing instructions on the
label attached to the cover.
Wash plastic parts with warm water and soap.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products.
Warning: the cover is an integral part of the child
seat: the child seat cannot be used without the
cover. Covers may only be replaced with
original spares.
