Inserting and pulling out the spool
1. Press (09/a) the two unlocking buttons (09/1)
at the same time and remove (09/b) the
cover (09/2).
2. Pull out (09/c) the empty spool (09/3).
3. Insert (10/a) the new spool (10/1). At the
same time, make sure that the spring is re-in-
serted.
4. Thread the cutting line (10/2) through the
openings (10/3) of the spool head towards
the outside.
5. Put on the cover (10/4) and press on until it
engages.
6. Insert the rechargeable battery in the basic
appliance.
Bring the cutting line to the required length
1. Switch on the appliance for approx. 10 s,
then switch it off again. The cutting line
lengthens.
2. Wait until the cutter head has come to a stop.
3. Repeat the previous two steps approx. 3 to 5
times until the cutting line has the required
length.
8 STORAGE
Thoroughly clean the appliance after each use
and – if present – attach all covers. Store the ap-
pliance in a dry, lockable place out of the reach of
children.
Carry out the following jobs before intervals in
work lasting for longer than 30 days:

10 TRANSPORT
Before transporting, carry out the following meas-
ures:
1. Switch off the appliance:

basic appliance.
3. Separate the basic appliance and attach-
ment.
NOTE
The nominal energy of the rechargeable
battery is more than 100 Wh. Therefore,
heed the following transport instructions.

appliance is subject to the hazardous goods law,
but can be transported under simplified condi-
tions:
