Indication:
The prefabs feature a highly precise manufactured implant inter-
face and a cylindrical body, which is adapted into its final anato-
mical (individual) form in the dental lab, using a milling machine
or a CAD-CAM system The interface to the implant remains intact
throughout this process.
Contraindication:
It is imperative to ensure that components are only combined
with compatible implant systems. This also applies to the corres-
ponding platform diameter.
DD prefabs may not be used in the following situations:
• Intolerance with regard to the components contained
• if the implant position displays angulation of more than 18°
• DD prefabs may only be used by expert personnel in
combination with the current applicable instructions for use.
• DD prefabs may only be used in combination with the DD im-
plant library, the DD prefab holder and the DD prefab adapter.
• If the implant interface is damaged, the prefab/abutment
may not be used.
Material:
The DD Prefab and DD Implant Screw are are made of Ti6AI4V
(medical grade 5) ASTM 136 ELI. The black lab screw is made
of stainless steel (1.4305) and the blue lab screw is made of
titanium (Ti6AI4V).
Instructions for use:
With regard to construction using CAD, please note a minimum
wall thickness (0.4mm) must be maintained. Please note that
the holder approved by Dental Direct (DD prefab holder and DD
prefab adapter) must be used to clamp the blank in the CAD-CAM
system. This holder ensures the blank sits in the machine without
vibrating, and the insert direction of the implant is oriented pre-
cisely. The prefabricated implant interface may not be amended
during subsequent processing. Nor may damaged prefabs be
used. Processing blanks in the machine is only approved with use
of appropriate cooling.
Caution:
With improper processing, titanium can overheat and ignite.
Only fully qualified personnel may process the material and
manufacture prosthetic components.
For use in the model, only use the laboratory screw (max.
torque 10 Ncm).
Practice:
The individual abutment is inserted into the patient's mouth
with the silver-coloured implant screw.
Note: The implant screw should be tightened with the system-
specific torque (see table).

Cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing:
The DD Prefabs and accompanying implant screws are cleaned at
Dental Direkt, but are not sterilized before being packaged. After
processing and before being used on the patient, the implant
components must be cleaned, disinfected and sterilized following
the procedure described by Dental Direkt.
