MAINTENANCE

For optimal performance, keep spare parts on hand. Replace
at the first sign of wear or if you pump less milk than expected.
It is normal for pump parts to lose elasticity and wear over time
with use, washing, and sanitizing. Here is a guide for pump
maintenance.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Action
Check adapter connections (PAGE 9).
Make sure fresh, brand-name, alkaline, non-
rechargeable batteries are installed correctly
(p. 9-10). If suction level 1 light is flashing when
the pump is off, the batteries are too low to
effectively pump.
Clean the valve and reassemble, per step 1 in
Assembling Your Breast Pump section (Page
7).
Use a slower speed or remove flange briefly
from breast to allow milk to flow into bottle.
Only use provided Evenflo AC adapter.
Tubing adapter should be pushed firmly
into pump unit. Tubing should be pushed
completely onto the tubing adapter and
diaphragm caps. (Page 8).
Inspect both pieces of tubing for any holes
or cracks. Inspect tubing adapter for any
damage or obstruction.
Properly install diaphragm. (STEP 3 Page 7)
Check diaphragm for signs of wear, holes,
cracks, etc. Replace damaged components.
Attach diaphragm cap firmly to flange, (STEP
3 Page 7). You should feel a slight snap when
installed properly.
Attach the valve firmly to flange (Page 7, STEP
2).
Replace membrane or ensure that it is
connected properly to the valve (Page 7, STEP 1).
Follow cleaning instructions (Page 6). Pay
extra attention to the valve and membrane.
