Chapter 2. Warnings and Precautions

WARNING
Failure to follow these instructions may cause injury.
• For external use only.
• Use only as directed.
• Do not use if aerSleep appears damaged in any way.
• Do not use if you have any of the following:
○ Skin allergies to silicone products.
○ Obvious skin rashes or sores in the region where applied.
○ Enlarged tonsils or tumors of the pharynx.
○ Neck surgery or injury, radiation therapy, tracheal deviation,
tracheostomy, scleroderma and/or CREST syndrome.
• Do not use if:
○ There is known or suspected carotid vascular disease, which
includes the following:
▪ A history of cerebrovascular accident (CVA) or transient
ischemic attack (TIA) of uncertain etiology.
▪ Carotid bruit or diminished carotid pulse on physical
examination.
○ Prone to bruising.
• Fully charge aerSleep before each use.
• Do not apply aerSleep while it is charging.
• Do not remove any components from the aerSleep system.
• Discontinue use and notify physician if pump pressure causes user
discomfort.
• Discontinue use if an airtight seal cannot be maintained.
• Discontinue use and notify physician if severe itching, redness,
swelling, bruising or rash develops and persists.
• Effectiveness may be reduced if the collar fills with neck tissue.
• Airway obstruction may still occur while aerSleep is in use.
CAUTION
Failure to follow these instructions may cause damage to aerSleep
and/or void the warranty.
• Avoid exposure to extreme heat and harsh solvents.
• Store in the original aerSleep packaging when not in use.
• Protect from dropping, damage, dust and other particles.
• Keep away from direct sunlight and other light sources.
• Keep away from pets, children and sharp objects.
• Do not expose the pump module to liquids. Doing so may damage
internal electronics.
• Do not clean with water, soaps or other cleaning products.

• Use only lint-free alcohol wipes.
• Do not dry with a towel. Allow aerSleep to air dry completely before
each use.
• Charge ONLY using the provided USB cable and wall charger via a
standard AC wall outlet. Do NOT charge by plugging the USB cable
into a computer, laptop or other electronic device.
• Do not block or remove vents.
• Do not apply substances or tacky aids to the collar.
• Do not attempt to repair or replace any components. No serviceable
parts inside.
