To remove the plates, press the button on the sides of the appliance. There
are two buttons, one for the upper, and one for the lower plate.
5.1 Installation notes for the removable plates

The lock in the "UP" position is for the upper plate.
2.
The lock in the "DOWN" position is for the lower plate.
