the ground, pull the starter handle

the engine and push the choke in.
8. Pull back the front hand guard (4) in
order to deactivate the kickback brake.
9. Press down the throttle trigger lock-out (9) and finally press the
throttle trigger (10). Allow the engine to warm up (without pressing
the throttle lever).
Hints:
When restarting the gasoline chain saw immediately after stopping the
engine leave the choke (7) in the pushed position.
When pulling out the choke, do not forget to push in again after starting
the engine.
Checking the Kickback Brake
The gasoline saw chain is equipped with automatic kickback brake (4).
The kickback brake is a device which stops the saw chain instantane-
ously if the chain saw recoils due to kickback. Before operating the
chain saw check the proper function of the kickback brake.
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Allow the chain saw to run for some time and push the front hand
guard (4) forwards. The chain must stop instantaneously.
If the kickback brake does not function properly do not operate the
chain saw further more and have it repaired by a professional.
Please note, continuous operation with the kickback brake engaged will
generate heat from the clutch and may cause trouble at the clutch. If
the kickback brake is activated, release the throttle trigger and shut off
the engine.
The chain will not move at idle speed, if the clutch is working properly.
Correct adjustment of the idling speed is made by the factory only.
