What do I fill the PARI MONTESOL nasal douche with?
Nasal rinses should always be carried out with isotonic (i.e. the con-
centration of the mineral content should match its concentration in
the bloodstream) saline solutions.
It is very important to follow this instruction.
Concentrations that are too high or too low may cause unpleasant irritation.
The fill volume in the PARI MONTESOL nasal douche is 250 ml.
For nasal rinsing, you can use suitable brine or saline solutions that are available
in liquid or crystalline form from your chemist or specialist medical dealer. Your
chemist or specialist dealer will be glad to tell you the quantity you need to use
to prepare 250ml of an isotonic solution.
This quantity is added to the douche and warm water is added until the PARI
MONTESOL nasal douche is completely filled.
Please also follow the instructionsfor use for the brine and saline so-
lutions you use for nasal rinsing.
The water you need to prepare the saline solutions must be at least drinking wa-
ter quality and should always be fresh. It may be necessary to use boiled or sterile
water to treat particular illnesses such as cystic fibrosis or after surgery.
