1. Remove hitch panel– Using flathead screwdriver, remove (2) plastic push fasteners from the center of the bumper fascia. Remove the
hitch panel from the center of the bumper fascia by removing (2) screws with a Phillips screwdriver. Return screws and hitch panel to
vehicle owner.
2. Trim underbody panel – Use tape to mark the bumper fascia support in line with the slot for the hitch panel and trim out the center of the
bumper fascia support.
3. Remove tape from frame – Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the tape from the outside of the framerails to uncover the weldnuts in
the frame.
4. Install hitch – Raise the hitch into position and secure with the supplied M12 (#1) hex bolts and conical tooth washers (#2).
5. Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N*M).
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged
should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for
connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
