▶Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This
enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
▶Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your
hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
▶If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and
collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.
Use of these devices can reduce dust related hazards.
PREPARATION
DANGER OF INJURY!
Before all adjustments and settings:
Turn the machine off.
Pull out the power plug.
Wait until the machine is still.
Danger of burning!
Drills and chisels become very hot during operation. You
can be burned by this.
Change the drills or chisels after they have cooled down.
ATTACHABLE HANDLE
Never use the impact drill without the attachable handle (10). The
attachable handle provides additional support and allows you to work
exhaustion-free. The attachable handle is intended for both right-and
left-handed persons.
▶Loosen the rotating button (a2) of the attachable handle (10) by
turning it counter-clockwise.
▶Guide the drill chuck (1) of the impact drill through the attachable
handle.
▶Then turn the attachable handle to the position which is best for you.
▶Turn the rotating button (a2) clockwise until the attachable handle sits
tightly and can no longer be moved.
DEPTH GAUGE
With the depth gauge (3), you can drill several holes with the same
drilling depth.
▶Loosen the rotating button (a2) of the attachable handle (10).
▶Guide the depth gauge (3) through the opening on the attachable
handle.
▶To set the desired drilling depth.
▶Pull the depth gauge out far enough so that the distance between
the point of the drill and the point of the depth gauge is the desired
drilling depth.
▶Turn the rotating button (a2) clockwise until the attachable handle
sits tightly and can no longer be moved.
USING SCREW TOOLS
When using screw bits, you should always use a universal bit-holder.
Instruction manual
Only use screw bits which fit the screw head. For screws, always set
the changeover switch (x) "(Drill/ impact drill)" to the symbol. Make
sure that the screw tools are used only with reduced rotation speed
(see Operation).
OPERATION
PROTECTIVE CLOTHING
▶If possible, wear designated gloves for protection from splinters and
shavings.
▶While working, wear designated protective goggles. Flying shavings
can cause injury.
▶Wear hearing protection for protection against continuous noise in
the work place.
▶Wear a designated dust mask for protection against airborne dust.
SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE
▶The machine may not get wet and may not be operated in moist
surroundings.
▶Connect the plug to an outlet only when the machine is turned off.
▶Do not cover up the air vent, so that the machine does not overheat.
▶Keep the handle dry and free from oil and grease.
▶Make sure that there is no water or electricity source behind the
place to the drilled.
▶Fasten work pieces, if possible, to a workbench.
▶Only set screws or nuts on the hammer drill when it is turned off.
TURNING ON/OFF
▶Connect the power plug to a designated outlet.
▶Press and hold the On/Off button (8) to turn the machine on.
▶To turn the machine off, let go of the On/Off button (8).
DANGER OF INJURY!. If the machine is laid down before it
comes to a complete standstill, parts of the machine can
become caught on the surface. This can lead to a loss of
control as well as severe injuries.
Lay the machine down after it has come to a complete
standstill.
LONG DURATION OPERATION
DANGER OF ACCIDENT!. If the machine should fall out
of your hand during long duration operation, it will not
automatically shut off. In this situation, immediately pull
out the power plug and turn the machine off. To ensure a
safe long duration operation:
Hold the machine securely at all times.
Always keep one finger on the On/Off button to be able to
turn it off quickly.
If the machine falls out of your hand during long duration
operation, immediately pull out the power plug.
