Install sample comparator : (JET Option # 719601)
Mount the comparator rear bracket to the back of the
tailstock with two screws, lock washers and washers. Align
bracket until centres align (see Fig 11-1).

The comparator allows holding a sample workpiece for
optical reference and comparative measurement taking.

5.3 Mains connection

Mains connection and any extension cords used must
comply with applicable regulations.
The mains voltage must comply with the information on the
machine licence plate.
The mains connection must have a
16 A surge-proof fuse.
Only use power cords marked H07RN-F
Connections and repairs to the electrical equipment may
only be carried out by qualified electricians.

5.4 Dust collection

Use a suitable dust collection and filtration system to avoid
a high dust concentrations in the air.

5.5 Starting operation

ON/OFF switch :
You can start the machine with the green ON-button (A, Fig
12).
The lathe will begin turning and driving the headstock
spindle.
The lathe will reach full speed in about 5 seconds.
The machine will stop when you push the red OFF button
(B) or the remote OFF-switch (U, Fig 1; Fig 13).
Wait until workpiece comes to a complete stop.
Remote OFF-switch :
The remote OFF-switch (U, Fig 1; Fig 13) stops the
machine.
When the remote OFF-switch is pushed, cycle the green
ON-button (A, Fig 12) on headstock to restart lathe.
