draw as well as preventing smoke from seeping into
the room.
Now you may light the paper and wooden base; leave
the door slightly open for about 20 minutes. Once the
flame has stabilised, close the door and the device
may be regulated by means of the valve in the ash-
tray mask (Fig. 6).
When the heater is cold, the primary air valve is fully
open to allow the flow of abundant air for the com-
bustion process.
This situation must be maintained at the beginning of
each lighting up process in order to heat the fireplace
and chimney, which will avoid the formation of con-
densation and creosote.
It is essential to provide an abundant load of fuel
when lighting. The following loads will depend on the
heat requirement desired.
ATTENTION! When the hearth is working, the metal
parts may reach high temperatures. Protect your
hands with fireproof gloves if you have to touch it.
IMPORTANT! The hearth must be closed at all times
when lit to avoid smoke from leaking out. Only open
to introduce fuel.
Once the stove is warm, the combustion air valve
(Fig. 6) can be gradually closed, according to your
needs. The maximum range may be achieved by pull-
ing the valve towards you; and the opposite direction
(pushing in) gives the minimum range.
