Replacement of hoes

The hoes must be replaced by resting the machine on its side so that the hoes
are parallel to the ground.
When assembling new hoes, make sure that the fixing nut is properly inserted
in its slot. We also recommend to replace the entire set of nuts and bolts each
time the screws are worn (NOTE: always use the original, fine-pitch steel nuts
and bolts).
To take maximum advantage of the hoes, the machine has two extensions (Fig. 7 -
Ref. A) on the sides making it possible to work even with worn hoes; they must not
be worn for over 2/3 of the hoe length.
NOTE: For small-displacement cultivators (8-10 HP), make sure that the power take-
off is at least 28-30 cm off the ground. If the height is instead apporximately 25-26
cm, it is recommended to shorten the hoe in order to align the machine with the cul-
tivator.
