Declaration of noise and vibration emission
All values are current as of the date of this
publication. For the latest information please visit
desouttertools.com.
These declared values were obtained by
laboratory type testing in accordance with the
stated standards and are suitable for comparison
with the declared values of other tools tested
in accordance with the same standards. These
declared values are not adequate for use in risk
assessments and values measured in individual
work places may be higher. The actual exposure
values and risk of harm experienced by an
individual user are unique and depend upon
the way the user works, the workpiece and the
workstation design, as well upon the exposure
time and the physical condition of the user.
We, Desoutter, cannot be held liable for the
consequences of using the declared values,
instead of values reflecting the actual exposure,
in an individual risk assessment in a work place
situation over which we have no control.
This tool may cause hand-arm vibration
syndrome if its use is not adequately managed.
An EU guide to managing hand-arm vibration
can be found at http://www.pneurop.eu/uploads/
documents/pdf/PN3-02-NV_Declaration_info_
sheet_0111.pdf
We recommend a programme of health
surveillance to detect early symptoms which
may relate to noise or vibration exposure, so
that management procedures can be modified to
help prevent future impairment.

OPERATING MODE
The tool can be handheld or used as fixed
spindle on a tool.
Handheld tool
● Fit the tool with a suitable fastening
accessory, then connect it to the power
supply by means of the controller.
● Select the program and appropriate
command mode on the controller (for a
PUSH START operation: enable the PUSH
START command in the CVIR II controller. To
start in lever mode: disable the PUSH START
command).
● Hold the tool by means of the handle and
apply to the fastener to be tightened.
● In PUSH START mode (B), apply axial thrust
with the tool on the fastener to be tightened,
to start the tool.
● In lever mode (A), press the lever to start the
tool.
● For a reverse rotation (C), you can choose
between 2 functioning modes parametrisable
in the CVIR II controller:
- Briefly press the inversion button, then
press either on PUSH START or on the
lever to start the tool. To return to the
screwing position, press again on the
inversion button.

tightening direction.
A
B
As the reaction force increases in proportion to
the tightening torque, make sure that the tool
is in perfect working order and the controller
is programmed correctly, to reduce the risk of
injury to the operator as a result of unexpected
behaviour of the tool.
Control and software
Power supply by means of CVIR II controller
fitted with a program version ≥ 2.1.
LUBRICATION
Do not apply too much grease on gears or
bearings; a thin coat shall be sufficient. Apply
a minimum quantity of grease for easier
identification of components when assembling.
