Filling in bottom ground (fig. 4)
The heating loops are covered with active bottom ground such
as sera Professional floreground after laying the heating cable
(4.1) as to ensure the oxygen exchange functions optimally. We
recommend covering it with a layer of sera floredepot with
long-term fertilizer (4.2). This will allow the plant roots to grow
on well. Place gravel, sand or other suitable material on top
(4.3). Do not place any sharp edged materials on the heating
cable. The aquarium can be filled with water after the bottom
ground has been filled in and the decoration elements have
been put in place.
Setting the temperature at the computer controller
The temperature can be adjusted between 10°C (50°F) and
35°C (95°F). The current water temperature of your aquarium
will be displayed on the display (2.2.3) of the sera computer
controller after you have installed the sera soil heating set and
plugged in the mains power plug. The currently set desired tem-
perature will appear on the display (2.2.3) when pressing the
"SET" key (2.2.6). You can increase or lower it with the "+" and
"-" keys. The currently measured temperature is displayed again
after pressing the "SET" key once more. The unit will switch
back into the measuring mode after about 6 seconds if you do
not press any key.

Note
The developing temperature conditions should be watched for
several days before putting fish into the newly setup aquarium.
Cleaning
Disconnect the sera soil heating set from the mains supply.
You can wipe the components of the set that are not under
water, or which can easily be taken out, with a moist cloth.
Maintenance
There is no maintenance or repair possible for the separate
components of the sera soil heating set, but they can only be
replaced with corresponding replacement parts. In case the
coating is damaged, the sera soil heating set must immediate-
ly be put out of operation. A heating cable not becoming warm
up to the end indicates a cable break or a short circuit. The sera
soil heating set must immediately be put out of operation also
in this case.

processed and that negative effects to the environment are
avoided.

When following the directions for use the sera soil heating set
will perform reliably. We are liable for the freedom from faults of
our products for 2 years beginning with the purchase data.
We are liable for complete flawlessness at delivery. Should usual
wear and tear occur by use as intended by us, this is not con-
sidered a defect. Warranty claims are also excluded in this case.
This particularly refers to the suction cups. Legal claims are of
course not reduced or limited by this warranty.
recommendation:
In every case of a defect, please first consult the specialized re-
tailer where you purchased the unit. He will be able to judge
whether it is actually a warranty case. In case of sending the
unit to us we will unnecessarily have to charge you for occurring
costs.
Any liability because of contract breach is limited to intent or
gross negligence. sera will be liable in case of slight negligence
only in case of injuries to life, body and health, in case of essen-
tial contractual obligations and with binding liability according
to the product liability code. In that case, the extent of liability
is limited to the replacement of contractually typically foresee-
able damages.
