For inspection purposes lower the telescopic
boom completely.
Remove the oil plug with washer. Add oil until
it is level with the lower edge of the opening.
Refit the oil plug with the washer (do not tight-
en down yet). Bleed the hydraulic system by
making several pumping actions with the
pump handle. When air ceases to escape from
the oil plug, tighten the plug down tightly.
Check lubrication and leakage
As required by the application check, clean
and lubricate all shafts, axles and linkage as-
semblies at the bearing points (use e.g. Shell
FD or equivalent). Check the hydraulic sys-
tem at regular intervals for possible leakage.
For the removal of leakages consult a compe-
tent workshop.

FUNCTION / OPERATION

Locking the stabilizing forks (Fig. 3)
- In order to lock the stabilizing forks, pull the
spring cotters out of the locking pins.
- Retain the stabilizing fork and pull out the
locking pin. Lower the fork slowly until seat-
ed on the floor.
- Repeat this procedure with the second fork.
- Press down the foot pedal until the frame
starts raising.
- Replace both locking pins and secure with
the spring cotters.
- Turn the foot pedal upwards again and se-
cure.
Lifting the load (Fig. 3)
Attention: The stabilizing forks must be locked
in the lowest position.
- Insert the pump handle in the operating arm
and secure with the butterfly nut.
- Carry out pumping actions until the telescop-
ic boom is in horizontal position.
- Remove the spring cotter from the locking
pin at the outrigger, pull out the locking pin
and adjust the outrigger to the required po-
sition.
Attention: Mind the weight of the load to be
lifted!
- Replace the spring cotter to secure the lock-
ing pin.
- Position the workshop crane above the load
to be lifted and attach the load.
- Exert pump actions and raise the load. En-
sure that the load is taken up in the centre
of gravity.

Lowering the load (Fig. 3)
- Pull the control lever backwards and hold
until the telescopic boom has lowered to the
required height. The lowering speed can be
finely metered by sensitively pulling the con-
trol lever.
Applying the brakes (Fig. 3)
During lifting and lowering, the brakes should
be applied on both steering wheels. For this
purpose press down the brake levers at the
wheels with the foot until noticeably engaged.
Now the workshop crane cannot be moved
any longer. In order to disengage the brakes
again, pull the brake levers with the foot up-
wards.
