FSS1-F, Flush mount
The sensor is flush mounted into the door frame with the magnet array plate flush mounted in the top of the door. The FSS1 sensor must
be fully mortised into the door frame using the mounting tabs.
FSS1-S, Surface mount with conduit fitting
The FSS1-S sensor has a side conduit entry of ¹³⁄16" (20 mm), ¹⁄2" NPT pipe thread. The sensor housing is not handed and may be installed
for either right or left side conduit entry. Slight conduit realignment may be necessary on retrofit installations.
FSS1-S-NC, Surface mount without conduit fitting
The FSS1-S-NC sensor is the same as the FSS1-S but does not provide a conduit entry. The cable entry hole is drilled in a predetermined
location to suit the cable size being used. Use cable entry/exit connectors that comply with local electrical codes.

Connect alarm wiring to COM (common) and N.O. (normally open) contacts. The N.O. connection will close (short) when the door is
secure and power is applied to the sensor. Power failure or alarm will cause the N.O. contact to open. The second set of alarm contacts
(flying leads) operate in the same way.
Tamper contacts are open when the device is in tamper state and closed when the device is not tampered.
A second set of independent alarm contacts are provided on the flying leads. These contacts may be attached to an access control device
in the facility.
