Possible cause / solution
• Is the plug not inserted in the mains socket correctly?
Insert the plug correctly.
• Is the plug socket defective? Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• When the device is fi rst used: A smell often develops when
new devices are fi rst used. The smell should disappear af-
ter you have used the device several times.
• The device has already been used: Is any hair, fl uff or dust
in the air outlet and intake opening? Clean the device in the
manner described in the "After Use" chapter.
• The overheating protection has been triggered. Follow the
instructions in the "Overheating Protection" chapter.
• The device has a sensor touch function: It automatically
switches off when you let go of the handle and switches on
when the sensor on the handle is touched. When blow dry-
ing your hair, make sure that you are touching the sensor
on the handle with the palm of your hand.
