JUST BEFORE USE
• Check the requirements at the planned place of use (see previous section of the safety instructions).
• Check the planned installation site: The surface must be sufficiently level, clean and free of
pointed or sharp objects.
• Find other people for the planned activity to watch out for each other.
• Inform suitable persons on land of the location, route and planned duration of the activity.
• Use appropriate safety equipment:
- Wear a suitable buoyancy aid (eg life jacket).
- Connect the user to the board with a suitable safety line ("leash"). In calm waters, attachment
above the ankle may be sufficient. In certain cases, the use of a quick -release hip belt is
recommended.
- Wear a suitable helmet for protection in the event of a fall onto the board or other hard object.
• Use appropriate weather protection equipment:
- In cool or cold air or water temperatures, wear appropriate gear to protect against
hypothermia. This also includes the accelerated cooling down during a longer stay on the
water.
- Protect the entire body adequately from UV radiation. Also consider radiation that is not
noticed immediately, (e.g. in slightly cloudy weather, cool weather or change in weather).
• Make sure the board is in good condition:
- Before and during each activity, check that the board has no defects such as leaks or severe
signs of wear. If damage is found, discontinue activity and arrange for repairs.
• Inflate board to required pressure:do not use a compressor.
Close the valve securely.
DURING AND AFTER USE
during use
• Continually monitor the conditions at the place of use.
• Monitor air pressure in the board; if the pressure drops sharply, stop the activity.
• Constantly monitor your surroundings and avoid any collisions:
- Do not collide with other watercraft or objects on or in the water.
- Do not collide with people or animals in the water.
• Monitor personal fitness constantly. Discontinue activity if signs of exhaustion appear.
• Always hold the paddle securely.
• Do not attach the board to a boat.
• Do not use board for surfing.
After use
• Rinse dirt and salt water off the board and let the board dry.
• Transport the board carefully. Protect from direct sunlight when storing .
• Only store the board at temperatures between -15°C and +50°C (5°F - 120°F)! Otherwise
irreparable damage is possible.
