HeraCeram Zirkonia 750
HeraCeram Zirkonia 750 is the ideal veneering material for ceramic frameworks manufactured from
zirconium dioxide and lithium di-silicate, with a CTE (α25 – 500°C) of 10.2 – 10.5 μm/mK.
Veneering of zirconium dioxide frameworks
Framework preparation: A very thin / even layer of Adhesive 750 is applied and subsequently fired in
the ceramic furnace under vacuum. (See firing procedures at the table below). This will ensure optimal
adhesion between the zirconium dioxide framework and HeraCeram Zirkonia 750.
Increaser: For further shade adaptation, the veneering surface is covered with a layer of increaser
using the appropriate colour.
Dentine / Incisal layers: The ceramic can be applied to suit your build up technique depending upon
preference. For example a simplified two-layer technique or, customised / individualised approach.
Note: Wear a face mask and eye protection when grinding ceramic materials and work with a
suction device. Avoid breathing in the ceramic dust.
Glaze firing: The degree of glazing is defined by the final firing temperature and the amount of holding
time. For this reason, the specifications for the glaze firing temperature and holding time are for orienta-
tion only and may need to be adjusted to achieve the required result. Glazing is often down to personal
preference therefore is also possible to polish HeraCeram Zirkonia 750 mechanically. Our Signum
pastes have proven themselves ideal for final polishing.
Veneering of lithium di-silicate frameworks
Framework preparation: Do not blast the lithium di-silicate frameworks after finishing; simply clean
them carefully (e.g., steam cleaner).
Adhesive: A thin layer of Adhesive 750 is then applied to the surface of the framework and fired.
