Software update

Via Satellite or via Internet by using the RS 232 Interface
The installation of software update is for ten Haaft DIGITAL product series systems
since September 2008. The update satellite is at the moment ASTRA1H an 19,2°
East. Updates are possible within the footprint of this satellite.

Please consider that this software update is not available for products of the VISION
series or older DIGITAL products.
Systems produced since January 2007 can be reconditioned with this feature. There-
fore a singular update with a computer is necessary. For further information about

Operation:
For starting an update please adjust the antenna an ASTRA1 and press on the
remote control the button MENU. Choose in the MAIN MENU the feature "Satellite
UPDATE".
The following items are available to select with the remote control.
1. Check for updates (check available updates)
2. Display box serial number (Hardware number)
9. Boot fi rmware (Restart Receiver)

This menu item checks, if a update can be sent to your receiver device via satellite.
Therefore it us necessary to enter an UPDATE- CODE. This entering avoids an update
with an not appropriate or wrong software.
The correct Code you got to enter is:
1268 05 2004 22000
After entering this code a software download can last up to 10 minutes. Then a
list is displayed, where you can choose by numeric keys on the remote control the
update you like. "Firmware" is the operation system. If this is offered, your system
is in any way appropriated for a software update. "Channel LIST" is the channel list
of yours receiver.
