8.1 Smooth start-up

After switching on the machine, regulation elec-
tronic circuits provide for a smooth start-up up to
the operating speed without unnecessary kicks.
This decreases the wear of gears, and increases
machine lifetime.
8.2 Overload protection (detail)
The indication light [1-9] is ON (green) during nor-
mal operation. If machine load is high, the light
blinks in green colour. Under machine overload
condition, the indication light is ON (orange), and
the machine shows loss of power. When load is
removed, the machine achieves full power again.
If machine overload is present for more than 4 sec-
onds, it will be shut off. To perform a restart, the
machine must be turned off and on by the switch
[1-1]. Before commencing work again, allow the
machine to reach maximum idle speed.

8.3 Thermal overload protection

If you work with the tool for longer periods of time
under high load conditions, the thermal protection
switches the motor to cooling mode (lower speed)
that protects the motor against damage. This mode
is indicated by alternative blinking of the indication
lights in green and orange. After having cooled
down, i.e. after about 30 seconds, the machine re-
turns to the operating speed level again. In case an
overheated machine is switched off and restarted
again, the motor enters the cooling mode.
Causes of overheating: excessive pressure, de-
viation of tool from perpendicular position, bad
quality or excessive wear of disc.

Maintenance

- The unit should be stored in a dry place where
it is protected against freezing.
- The ventilation holes on the motor casing must
not get blocked up.
- The cable may only be replaced in a specialised
HOHFWULFDO ZRUNVKRS TXDOL¿HG WR SHUIRUP VXFK
work.
After approx. 200 hours of use the following main-
tenance work must be performed:
- Check the length of the brushes. Brushes shorter
than 5 mm should be replaced.
- The machine turns itself off automatically when
the brushes are worn out. The machine must be
sent to a service centre for maintenance.
WARNING
To preserve the protection class the machine
must undergo a safety inspection; this must
be done in a specialised electrical workshop

Power tools, accessories and packaging should be
sorted for environmental-friendly recycling.
According to the European Directive 2002/96/EC
on waste electrical and electronic equipment and
its incorporation into national law, power tools that
are no longer suitable for use must be separately
collected and sent for recovery in an environmen-
tal-friendly manner.
