Inserting/Replacing
Batteries
Insert the batteries into the battery compart-
ment 5. Observe the correct polarity as indica-
ted in the battery compartment.
When the LED 4 flashes, replace the batteries.
Always use the same type of batteries and do
not use rechargeable batteries!
When not using for extended periods, remove
the batteries. Danger of corrosion.
Extreme temperatures can considerably impair
the operating duration of the device.

Starting Operation
Setting Up
When in the holder 6, mount the unit onto a tri-
pod or fasten to a rail with the magnet 2. Ad-
just the unit as horizontal as possible.
Switching On and Off
Press the On/Off button 3 to switch the unit on
and off.
The unit levels itself and is ready for operation
after a few moments.
The unit levels itself and is ready for operation
after a few moments.
When the LED 4 lights up red and the laser
beam flashes, the laser is not within the level-
ling range.
NOTE: Check the accuracy regularly.
Checking the Accuracy
Mount the unit onto a tripod (see figure).
Align a laterally emerging laser beam
against a vertical surface at least 10 m
away. Mark the laser point there.
Turn the unit by 90° so that a second laser
beam points at the first mark. Mark the la-
ser point.
Turn the unit again by 90° and mark the la-
ser point again.
The unit levels accurately when the differ-
ence D is less than 3.2 mm.
NOTE: When the deviation is too large, send
the unit in to a Würth Master-Service.
Application Examples
Use for plumb lines
Set up the unit close to the object subject to
vertical alignment, measure the parallelism to
the laser beam via two points that are as far
apart as possible and line up the object.
To project a point from ceiling to floor or op-
posite, position the unit in such a manner that
the laser beam points exactly at the point sub-
ject to being projected and then mark the op-
posing laser point.
