Core bits can be attached only in depth position 4. Screw the core bit
(BK 106) onto the tool spindle (stalwart) with a shaft. Insert the pilot
drill bit into the shaft of the core bits and twist it up clock-wise to stop.
Only genuine tools may be used. When using other tools, the cutter
spindle and the machine might be damaged.
This control has the following advantages:
– a smooth start
– idle speed limitation (low noise)
– 2 speeds
– running current limitation: if the tool is overloaded, the running
current limitation protects the motor by reducing the current flow to
an admissible degree. The motor stops and purrs.
When the feed is now reduced, the motor will gently start again.
The tool does not have to be removed from the wall.
Lime stone is an extremely abrasive, tool-wearing building material.
Therefore only chase lime stone in the low speed [position I, selection
of speed (D)]. This way cutters and core bits will last longer. When
treating other building materials in common use, the high speed (posi-
tion II) is recommended.
The tool may only be used with a dust exhaustion.
A good ventilation of the working place has to be ensured.
The vacuum cleaner must be adapted for exhausting stone dust and
show sufficient suction speed. Additionally, a dust-protective mask has
to be worn according to DIN/EN against fine dust.
The wall chaser contains a dust exhausting socket (E), which is inte-
grated on the left side of the tool. After removal of the protection cap,
a hose with internal diameter of 35 mm can be attached.
Please note: whenever an escape of dust can be observed during
the application, please shake up the filter of the vacuum cleaner
immediately.
Re-grind cutters in due time without water in arrowed direction or
return them for re-grinding.
Use a silicon-carbide-disk (green).
The machine has self-disconnecting carbon brushes. When the
brushes are worn the motor will switch off automatically, then a
routine-service is necessary.
Any maintenance or repair work must be carried out in the SPIT
after-sales service or in an after-sales service station formally
approved by SPIT.
For queries, please phone one of the numbers listed on the last
page of this booklet.
SPIT will not be responsible for any tools which have been main-
tained, repaired or modified by agents not formally approved by SPIT.
We advise you to bring the tool in regular times in service for main-
tenance according to the frequency of usage in order to prevent
accidents, injuries or the damage of the tool.
Only for EU countries
Do not dispose of electric tools together with household waste material!
In observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical
and electronic equipment and its implementation in accordance with
national law, electric tools that have reached the end of their life must
be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible
recycling facility.
