7.5 Oil change

• Lower the device with no load onto the inspection support.
• Place an oil drip tray beneath the hydraulic cylinder.
• Disconnect the hydraulic hoses from the cylinder and lay them
into the oil drip tray
• Operate the hydraulic pump (raise) until no more oil comes out
of the hoses.
• Re-fit the hoses.
• Remove the vent plug from the tank.
• Fill with oil.
• Please refer to the enclosed dimensions sheet
for filling amounts.
• Screw the vent plug back into the tank.
• Vent the hydraulic system.
7.6 Venting the hydraulic system
• Lower the device with no load onto the inspection support.
• Unscrew the vent plug on the hydraulic cylinders by 1-2 rotations.
• If you can find no vent plugs the cylinders have been
designed and fitted to be self-venting.
• Actuate the hydraulic pump (raise) until the oil appears at the vent
opening with no bubbles.
• Check the oil level.
• Top up with oil if necessary.
7.7 Checking the hydraulic hoses
Hydraulic hoses must be checked annually for their safe condition. The
test must be carried out by an expert.
Check the following:
• Can any damage be seen on the outer lining such
as cracks, kinks, cuts, laking, chafe marks,
brittleness, etc.?
• Does the hose deform when pressurised or depressurised?
• Are there any leaks between the hose and fittings?
• Does the hose work loose from the fittings?
• If you discover any damages replace
the corresponding hose(s).
• Pressure hoses should be replaced as necessary,
though after 6 years at the latest.
