3. Filling the cooling system
• Open the hood and attach the vacuum pump with hooks on it.
• Remove radiator or tank cap. Drain completely coolant (retention bin...). If needed,
instructions are available in the vehicle-specific service literature.
• Connect a suitable vehicle specific adapter or the universal adapter to the radiator/tank.
• Be sure that the valve
3 to «ON» and valve 7 to
«OFF» position.
• Switch valve 3 to «OFF» if a pressure of 20 - 25 inHg (60 - 50cmHg) is reached.
• Connect the coolant hose to the vacuum pump and put the hose into new coolant.
• If the pressure indicator has dropped to «0», the cooler should be sufficiently filled, otherwise
the procedure can be repeated.
NOTE
This manual does not replace the service literature in which you would find additional information.
The vehicle-specific data should be present for each test to get correct results.

«OFF» position before the coolant is be
topped up.
• Make sure that the hose is filled with
new coolant.
• Switch the valve7 to «ON», the coolant
be sucked out of the container.
