Warning
These sections provide important information concerning the proper operation of the AQUALUX chlorinator. This
document is meant to provide you with all the relevant information regarding the installation, the use and the maintenance of
your unit. Additionally, in order to feel assured that you have gained a good grasp of every feature provided by your new
chlorinator, owner's manual should be read in its entirety. The manual should be saved and kept on hand as a convenient
reference.
1 Safety instructions
•
The electric connections must be carried out by a professional electrician. The corresponding invoice must be
attached to any claims made under guarantee.
•
The installation must comply with the current electrical standards in the country of installation (for France the
current standard is C15-100, 702).
•
Make sure that the voltage shown on the unit corresponds to that of your electricity network: Single phase: 230
V~ 50 Hertz (1 phase + 1 neutral)
•
The chlorinator's electric power supply must be protected by a 30mA differential circuit breaker connected to
the general control unit of the swimming pool.
•
The chlorinator must be correctly grounded.
•
Do not touch the rear aliminium base when the device is in operation as it could be hot.
•
The general electric power supply must be switched off before carrying out any work.
•
Install the system in a dry and well ventilated place unaccessible to bathers.
•
The filter pump must be servo-controlled. The device must not be working if there is no flow through the cell.
This may result in the formation of flammable gases.
•
Never allow children to use this product.
•
In case of malfunction of your chlorinator, switch it off and contact your installer.
•
The entire electric sytem must comply with the applicable standards. Make sure that the electric characteristics
indicated on the label are compatible with the power supply network.
•
Ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C.
•
Wear appropriate safety gear (protective footwear, goggles, mask, gloves, suitable clothes) during installation
operations.
•
Refer to the instructions manuals provided by the manufacturers of equipment and products used.
•
It is not recommended to use the AQUALUX chlorinator for indoor swimming pools.

Notes on environmental protection
After the implementation of the European Directive 2002/96/CE in the national legal system the following applies :
Electrical and electronic devices may not be disposed of with domestic waste. Consumers are obliged by lack to return electrical and
electronic devices at the end of their service lives to the public collecting points set up for this purpose. Details to this are defined by
the national law of the respective country. This symbol on the product, the instruction manual or the package indicates that the
product is subject to these regulations. By recycling, reusing the material or other forms of utilizing old devices, you are making an
important contribution to protecting our envrionment.
